Brief Description: Math folders of projects and problems: General Mathematics (21 problems); Problem Solving and Reasoning (651); Mathematical Tools (16); Whole Numbers and Numeration (239); Measurement (129); Geometry (101); Statistics and Probability (113); Algebraic Ideas (90).
Stated purpose: The Explorer is a network data base system for contributing, organizing and delivering educational resources. These resources (instructional software, lab activities, lesson plans ...) are currently for K-12 mathematics and science education but we plan to expand content disciplines and target audiences.
Sponsoring/Funding Institution: Developed jointly by the Great Lakes Collaborative and the University of Kansas UNITE group. Funding by U.S. Department of Education OERI office.

Here are the areas of the site that are most extensive:
- The math folder is also available in an easy-to-see Outline version.
- The most extensive areas are Problem Solving and Reasoning, Whole Numbers and Numeration, Geometry and Measurement. There's also General Math, Math Tools, Prob/Stat, and Algebraic Ideas.
