Description: A Web-based workshop that provides teachers with knowledge, skills, and support to incorporate the Internet in their classrooms and curricula. Learning objectives include explaining basic concepts relating to the Internet; using the features of a web browser to navigate the World Wide Web and tailor web experience to needs; using web guide and search engine to locate resources on the web; adopting measures to ensure that students use the Internet appropriately; designing a student-centered, Internet-rich lesson plan; and building and publishing a web page. Academic credit available from the University of California, Santa Cruz Extension.
