| Biological modeling refers to the development and analysis of mathematical equations that model biological phenomena. Accurate modeling depends on the interdisciplinary collaboration of mathematicians, biologists, and often other scientists as well; faculty members study genetics, population dynamics, and enzyme kinetics and the difference and differential equation systems that arise.
